French lessons begin

by Ami KANEKO

This week the fourth grade students started to learn a new foreign language - French. It is difficult for us as we have never tried it before. But it is also exciting. Our French teachers are from Canada. In Canada many people are bilingual and speak both English and French.

Because we are beginners, we learn French using English, too. This helps us to practice our English. I think that French seems like English a little, but the pronunciation is different and difficult.

I hope that we can become good French speakers. We must work hard but, with our teachers' help, I think that we can succeed.
